Reading for Information: Resources for WorkKeys® and GED® Preparation
Workplace communications, including company policies, procedures, and announcements, often contain important information or instructions for employees. Therefore, set of skills required by the WorkKeys® assessment is reading for information. WorkKeys learners must be able to comprehend, interpret, and apply information from written communications.
This collection of resources, which originally appeared in KET’s Workplace Essential Skills and GED Connection series and accompanying workbooks, are designed to help learners understand and apply what they have read.
Students studying for their GED® test may also find practicing reading for information helpful. Many questions require test-takers to comprehend, interpret, and respond to a variety of texts.
This collection is partially funded by support provided by the Bluegrass Community Foundation.
